Railway

Above All Images specialises in the production of vertical high resolution digital imagery which provides civil engineers with highly detailed images of both the railway track layout and cable runs as well as stock control of trackside materials. The imagery is also used to assess vegetation and tree ingress to the tracks.

Because the imagery is flown, there is no interruption to train services or the risks of placing a survey team on the track.

As the imagery is taken we record GPS data which is later presented in a spread sheet linking the image to a map position as well as date/time and altitude. The images are overlapped by a specified amount (usually 30%) to provide a continuous run along the railway. We even offer to provide imagery ‘North Up’ to allow easy map comparison.
